Reorder PDF pages

Drag pages into the order you want — or reverse the whole document in one press, for scans that came out back to front.

    How to reorder PDF pages

    1. Choose your PDF. The pages appear as previews you can move.
    2. Drag a page where you want it, or use the arrow buttons on each page. Reverse order flips the whole document.
    3. Press Save new order. The rearranged PDF is written to your downloads.

    About reordering PDF pages

Page order goes wrong in predictable ways. A document feeder stacks a batch back to front, so the whole scan is reversed. A duplex scanner puts all the fronts first and all the backs after them. Someone sends a report with the appendix ahead of the conclusion.

Dragging previews is the quickest fix for a short document; Reverse order handles the back-to-front batch in one press. For keyboard use, every page has arrow buttons that move it one position at a time, so the tool works without a mouse or a trackpad.

Saving writes a new PDF with the pages copied in their new order, content untouched. The original file is left exactly as it was.

    Questions about reordering PDF pages

How do I reverse the page order of a PDF?

Choose the file and press Reverse order, then Save new order. This is the usual fix for a stack that went through a document feeder the wrong way round.

Can I move a page from the end to the beginning?

Yes. Drag its preview to the front, or use its arrow buttons. There is no limit on how far a page can travel.

Does reordering work without a mouse?

Yes. Tab to a page in the grid and use its arrow buttons to move it one place at a time, which also works with a screen reader.

Will the new file keep its quality?

Yes. Pages are copied in their new order, not re-rendered, so text, fonts and images are unchanged.

Can I delete pages here too?

Deleting has its own page, which is better suited to it. Reordering and deleting are kept separate so that each selection means one thing.
