About Plain PDF
Plain PDF is a set of tools for everyday PDF work — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing. Every one of them runs inside the page you are reading now.
Why it works this way
Most free PDF sites send your document to a server, do the work there and send it back. That is easier to build, and it means a stranger's machine holds your contract, your passport scan or your medical letter for as long as they choose to keep it. Browsers can do this work themselves now, so there is no reason to ask for the file.
Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to store, nothing to leak and nothing to sell. The same fact has a cost, and we would rather say it than hide it: once you close the tab, we cannot help you recover anything, because we never had it.
Why it is free
This site is cheap to run. It is static files on a content network, and the work happens on your device rather than ours. Advertising covers the rest. There is no account, no file limit, no paid tier and no watermark, and none is planned — a free tool that quietly turns into a trial is worse than one that was never free.
Who makes it
Good Humans, a small independent project. There is no sales team to reach and nothing to upsell you. The tools are the whole product.
