Merge PDF files

Combine any number of PDFs into a single document, in the order you choose. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is added to your pages.

    How to merge PDF files

    1. Choose your PDF files, or drag them onto the box above. You can add more files at any time.
    2. Put them in the order you want with the arrow buttons next to each file.
    3. Press Merge PDFs. The combined file is built on your device and saved straight to your downloads.

    About merging PDFs

Merging is the most common reason to reach for a PDF tool: a scanned contract and its annexes, a set of invoices for an expense claim, a report whose chapters arrived from different people. The result should be one file whose pages are identical to the originals, in an order you decided.

That is all this tool does. Pages are copied across with their text, fonts, links and form fields intact, rather than being flattened into pictures, so the merged document stays searchable and selectable. Nothing is recompressed, so quality does not drop, and no watermark or footer is added.

Because the work happens in your browser, the size and number of files is limited only by your device’s memory. A hundred-page merge is usually finished before an upload to another site would have started.

    Questions about merging PDFs

How do I merge PDF files without uploading them?

Use this page. Choose your PDFs, put them in order and press Merge PDFs. Your browser reads the files, builds the merged document in memory and saves it — no network request carries your file.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

No. There is no file count limit and no size limit, because there is no server to protect. Very large merges are bounded by your device’s available memory, and a browser tab typically handles several hundred megabytes without trouble.

Will merging reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered or recompressed, so images, fonts and vector graphics are byte-for-byte what they were in the original files.

    Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. A PDF that is encrypted has to be opened with its password first — in Acrobat, Preview or your browser’s own viewer — and saved without protection. Then it can be merged here.

Does the merged file keep links and bookmarks?

Links inside the copied pages are kept. Document-level bookmarks, which belong to the file rather than to a page, are not carried over by the underlying library.

Can I merge PDFs on a phone?

Yes. The tool works in mobile Chrome and Safari the same way it works on a desktop, and files are picked from your phone’s own storage or cloud drive.
